GROWTH of the Philippine economy accelerated to 6.2 percent in the third quarter of the year from 6.0 percent a year ago, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Thursday.
The second quarter economic growth was also up from the 5.5 percent during the second quarter of the year. “We are glad to share that after two quarters of deceleration, the growth of the Philippine economy surged to 6.2 percent in the third quarter of 2019,” said National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Ernesto Pernia.
