There will be a restriction on the entry of pork meat products in the country of Taiwan. Since the African Swine Flu had reached the Philippine territories and devastated a huge population of the poultry industry, Taiwan had released precautionary measures to avoid contracting the illness.
Filipinos are now restricted to bring inside the territory of Taiwan any pork products coming from the Philippines. This is for strict compliance and is created for Taipei’s biosecurity against the swine disease. Violators will be asked to pay a penalty of an amount equal to 336,000 PHP to 1.6 million PHP. A reminder from the Philippines' Department of Agriculture- Bureau of Animal Industry was posted on their facebook page. They had said that Taiwan will be strictly performing baggage inspections to travelers coming from the Philippines. People who will be caught bringing-in pork and other pork products from the Philippines will be charged a penalty. Read more: WheninTaiwan Comments are closed.
