23 September 2019- PTIC-Taipei arranged for representative Ms. Chia-yu Chang of premiere startup incubator, Taiwan Tech Arena, to speak at DTI’s Inclusive Innovation Conference. PTIC-Taipei is with DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez and event lead Organizer Undersecretary Fita Aldaba at the conclusion of the conference.
Philippine Delegation at Semicon Taiwan 2019 September 18-20, 2019
PTIC-Taipei together with the Philippine Board of Investments arranged and organized the participation of three well-known Philippine companies to join the threeday Semicon semiconductor trade show in Taiwan. The delegation was composed of Nanotronics Inc., Xinyx Design Consultancy and Services Inc. and Integrated MicroElectronics Inc.
Taipei, 14 September 2019 - Trade Representative Michael Alfred Ignacio, MECO Director of Commercial Affairs, delivered the Philippine Country Presentation at today’s South East Asia Conference organized by the Straits Exchange Foundation at Grand Mayfull Hotel in Taipei today, to promote the PHILIPPINES as a prime investment destination for Taiwanese companies looking at their next manufacturing base in South East Asia.
The event, which was widely attended by some 100 Taiwanese businessmen and executives currently operating in China, was formally opened by the Foundation’s Chairperson Ms. Katharine Chang and Director General Emile Chang of the Department of Investment Services of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. A powerful testimonial was delivered by top executives of Major Taiwanese companies heavily invested in the Philippines such as the MSK Group and The Triboa Majestic Bay.

In a series of high-level investment meetings and strategic engagements in Taiwan last August 15-16, PTIC-Taipei arranged for DTI Undersecretary and BOI Managing Head Ceferino Rodolfo to meet with top executives of several major Taiwanese companies which are either current or potential investors in the the Philippines’ manufacturing and industrial sector.
Joined by MECO Chairman Angelito T. Banayo, BOI Executive Director Maria Corazón H. Dichosa and DTI Trade Representative and MECO Director of Commercial Affairs in Taiwan, Michael Alfred V. Ignacio, the series of meetings are intended to position and promote the Philippines as primary investment destination for Taiwanese companies looking to take advantage of the country’s favorable economic outlook and market conditions.

In support for the Philippine biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, PTIC-Taipei, in cooperation with DTI and BOI, brought three companies namely Lloyd Laboratories, Inc., Northfield Laboratories, Inc., and New Marketlink Pharmaceutical Corporation (NMPC) to represent the Philippine Booth at the BIO Asia - Taiwan 2019 on July 24-28, 2019. The goal for this is to create partnerships between the Philippine companies and with their counterparts and other enterprises in Taiwan, and to look at the possibility of marketing our own products.

The Manila Economic and Cultural Office and its commercial affairs section, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Taipei, in close partnership with the Center for International Trade Exhibits and Missions and the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry showcased a lineup of top-tier, strategically-curated selection of Philippine food manufacturers and exporters at the FoodPhilippines Pavilion at Taipei Food Show last 19-22 June 2019. There were 11 Philippine food manufacturing companies that joined the said event.
Our FoodPhilippines lineup of exhibitors this year is composed of a mix of more established mainstream companies and high-innovation food manufacturing companies. Leading our line-up of more established exporters are companies such as Century Paciﬁc Food, Inc., Destileria Limtuaco & Co. Inc., Team Asia Corporation, Tropicana Food Products, Inc., and Grand Asia Integrated Natural Coco Products Corporation, whose joint capacity, product range and supply position them to successfully penetrate Taiwan’s mainstream buying public.
Six other companies such as JND Manufacturing Industries, Inc., Leonie Agri Corporation, Mira’s Turmeric Products, Pasciolco Agri Ventures, Yearluck Food and Industrial Corporation and Yanyan International Philippines, Inc. had introduced their products to target Taiwan’s lucrative niche market segments such as health, wellness and specialty herbal, natural, organic and general food products.
